Octave is led by Will Smith. Before investing, Will founded Euclid, a spatial analytics company backed by Benchmark and NEA and acquired by WeWork. A decade in the founder seat shapes how we work: the startup journey, in the best case, is equal parts disaster and glory, and we are here to assist from the tactical to the personal.
Along the way he began writing early checks into companies like Weights & Biases, Datavant, and Notion, and that work became Octave. The firm is based in San Francisco.
